Danko Jones
Biography
Danko Jones: Guitar/Chant John Calabria: Bass Dan Cornelius: Battery
The three companions met in '96 in Canada, their country of origin, and more specifically in the City of Toronto. Their first cake is an autoprod', limited to 1000 copies, which will make a lot of sour like LastDaysOfApril's S/T. And finally a second EP will satisfy the fans in '99: My Love is Bold. The noise circulates while the trio should land in Europe, which does not fail to attract the attention of the Swedes of Bad Taste Records precisely ( Karl Larsson , Satanic Surfers ,...).
2001 marks the release of a compilation of songs recorded between 1996 and 1999: I'm Alive and on Fire. Then, consecutively, Danko Jones hit twice with Born a Lion in 2002, the first album to be exported to Japan, Brazil, Australia, and also to the US, and We Sweat Blood in 2003, distributed in 2005 in the United States. The combo chained the tours and ended up landing in 2005 to compose its fourth and last opus: Sleep is the Enemy. The album benefits from the production of Matt DeMatteo and the mixing of Vic Florenzia, and the final touches are brought by Ted Jensen (R.E.M.: This effort was released on February 20, again via Bad Taste Records, and distributed in France by Innovative Promotion.
