Cloud Nothings
Biography
Originally from Cleveland, Cloud Nothings is an independent Lo-Fi rock band with noise relans but also post-rock. Dylan Baldi was still a student when he started creating music, he had fun creating fake bands with their real fake myspace pages on which he posted his compositions, among them Cloud Nothings drew the attention of the Bridgetown Records label which proposed to record a first album, and that's how Turning On was born in 2009 (published by Carpark Records in 2012). In the wake of Todd Patrick, a New York concert organizer, invited the band to perform the first part of Woods and Real Estate at the Brooklyn Market Hotel, causing Baldi to form a band for the occasion. In 2010 Cloud Nothings signed at Carpark Records as one-man band, and gave birth to a second eponymous opus in January 2011 under the leadership of Chester Gwazda, the welcome of the critic will be really good. Exactly a year later will already come a third album named Attack On Memory , it is the first that Cloud Nothings will record as a band, the live musicians taking part this time in the studio work, led by Steve Albini (Pj Harvey , Nirvana ...), the critics will again be favorable, Pitchfork will distinguish him from his famous Best New Music status. As early as December 2012, Cloud Nothings announces working on its next baby, Baldi will say about it that it will be less melodic, less simple and louder than the previous ones, initially scheduled for the end of 2013, Here and Nowhere Else is finally announced for April 2014, it will be produced by John Ctabrion.
