Chevelle
Biography
Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, Chevelle formed in 1995 at the initiative of the brothers Pete, Joe and Sam Loeffler, respectively singer-guitarist, bassist and drummer. The name of the formation comes from a love of the group for cars, including the Chevrolet Chevelle. The first album appeared in 1999, entitled Point #1 , received a rather favorable review and Chevelle was already mistakenly associated with "Chrstian Rock" because of their membership in a label promoting this style. The release of their second album leads the trio to shoot alongside Machine Head and Sevendust. 2005 marks the departure of Joe Loeffler, quickly replaced by Dean Bernardini, brother-in-law of Pete and Sam. The following years saw an album release every two years from 2007 to 2011. In 2014 La Gargola was released at Epic Records.
