Bohren Und Der Club Of Gore
Biography
Bohren Und Der Club Of Gore took its roots in Germany's Ruhr in 1992, when four students decided to abandon the Hardcore of their youth to weave a very black Jazz atmosphere at the door of the Doom. It was in 1993 that the name of the group became Bohren Und Der Club Of Gore with reference to the Dutch Doom instrumental group Gore. The first echoes of these Jazz ballads appeared in 1994 and 1995 with the albums Gore Motel and Midnight Radio .
After a five-year hiatus, the Germans came back with Sunset Mission in 2000, which was a part of the saxophone and bass depth. A new direction that was confirmed with Black Earth in 2002 and, above all, Geisterfaust in 2005, where the band compresses to the maximum the sound of its wind instruments (Tuba, Trombone). In 2008 Dolores , opts for a significantly brighter approach while in 2014, Bohren Und Der Club Of Gore comes out Piano Nights , more intimate.
