Between The Buried And Me
Biography
Formed in 2001 in North Carolina, Between the Buried and Me (or BTBAM) is currently composed of Tommy Rogers singing, Paul Waggoner and Dusty Waring guitar, Dan Briggs bass and Blake Richardson drums. It was in 2002 that the band signed with the label Life Force Records, and released its first album soberly titled Between the Buried and Me. The band is inspired by this album of different musical styles, from death metal to grindcore with a little touch of Jazz. This album will attract the attention of Label Victory records, with which the band will sign shortly afterwards. In 2003 BTBAM released a second album entitled The Silent Circus . This album continues the path of the previous album but is more complex than its predecessor. This album will be republished in 2006 with a DVD Including one of their concert in Carrboro (North Carolina) In 2005, the band released Alaska , an album considered cult for many fans. The band continues its momentum, and is approaching a progressive death metal, while infiltrating some unexpected sounds. The following year BTBAM released The Anatomy Of , an album of covers including pieces by Metallica , Queen , Pink Floyd ... It will take until the end of 2007 to be able to listen to the last brulot of the combo: Colors . The album flies, is a small success that allows them to release a live version, Colors Live . Not tired, Americans return to studio in May 2009 for The Great Misdirect, for which they go so far as to describe a song as a mix of Coalesce, Mastodon, The Mars Volta, Queen and Megadeth. The album was released in October of the same year.
