Author And Punisher is a one-man band created by Tristan Shone in 2004 in California. Tristan is a complete artist, coupled with a talented engineer. He has been featured in many internet forums and magazines by offering tutorials to create effects pedals, midi controllers and a host of other tools and audio instruments. He focuses his musical project around the instruments he develops. He baptizes these Drone and Dub Machines according to their use. They operate on the principle of open source. The musical adventure started in 2005 with The Painted Army, which he self-produced as Warcry in 2007. The Seventh Rule Recordings label is interested in him and released Drone Machines in 2010 as well as Ursus Americanus in 2012 and Women&Child in 2013, then in 2015 he joined Phil Anselmo on his label Housecore Records for Meik En Honing. After the ep Pressure Mine in 2017, Author&Punisher began to make himself known with his mix of Indus / Drone / Noise / Doom Metal and that's how he was spotted by Relapse Records for the release of Beastland in 2018 and Krüller in 2022. He made several dates with Lingua Ignota in 2019.
