Amaranthe
Biography
Olof Mörck (guitars, Dragonland and Nightrage) and Jake E. (clear song, ex Dream Evil) created together Avalanche in 2008. The objective of the group is to stand out by having three vocalists with each of the different tesses. To complete the founder's melodic song, Elize Ryd (female clear song) and Andreas Solveström (guttural song) are recruited. The name of the group changed to Amaranthe in 2009 for legal reasons. Thanks to a first demo, Spinefarm Records signed the band. Their first album, eponymous, was released in April 2011. It is a modern Metal, somewhere between easy access Metalcore, Death Mélodic, and Techno-Pop. They will support their tour effort with Kamelot (with whom Elize Ryd always collaborates on an ad hoc basis) and Evergrey. A second album, The Nexus , was released in early 2013. Andreas Solveström left Amaranthe in 2013 and Henrik Englund Wilhemsson ( Scarpoint ) replaced him. This new line-up comes out Massive Addictive at the end of 2014, then the Breaking Point - B-sides compilation 2011-2015 , mainly made up of acoustic versions.
