Scottish death metal band Party Canon has released a new single, accompanied by a music video directed by A Call To Dreamers. The song, titled 'Improper Use Of A Speculum', is a tongue-in-cheek tribute to east coast style death metal, featuring riffs reminiscent of Dehumanized, Internal Bleeding, Dying Fetus and Suffocation. In an amusing nod to the band's reputation for unpredictability, Party Canon bassist Chris Ryan reflected on the song's inspiration: 'It took a little longer than we expected... We've reached some new heights - this song has the fastest blastbeat we've ever recorded as well as the heaviest ultra slam.'
The video captures the unrelenting energy of a Party Canon live show, filmed at Wacken Open Air in Germany and Tolminator in Slovenia. With more tours on the horizon, fans are encouraged to join the mayhem.
