Blut Aus Nord have released their new single The Ordeal , accessible on YouTube and Spotify for streaming at the link below. The track is featured on the French avant-garde black metal entity's forthcoming 16th studio album, Ethereal Horizons, scheduled for release on November 28th. A new video for the song, directed by Alex Morean (Aversio Humanitatis), has also been made available.

A statement from vocalist/guitarist Vindsval provides insight into the track:

'The Ordeal' refers to both judgment not necessarily divine and suffering. This profound trial is often a necessary step in any spiritual journey; unavoidable pain often accompanies this quest for understanding, growth, and finding meaning in our existence. It is crucial that we confront our flaws and inner anguish as part of the transformative process.

This idea highlights that suffering does not have to be an isolating experience but rather a catalyst for personal growth; religion spirituality can offer solace, however, it should not be mistaken for torment. The perpetual conflict between our shadows and light resides within.
