Ice Nine Kills Unleash Joker-Inspired Single 'The Laugh Track' via Cinematic Music Video
Ice Nine Kills has released a music video for their latest song, 'The Laugh Track', which pays homage to Batman's arch-nemesis, the Joker. The gold-certified metalcore band's new single features guest appearances by actors Matthew Lillard and Phil Morris, expanding their ever-growing INKverse.
The music video, directed by Jensen Noen, draws inspiration from Tim Burton's 1989 film 'Batman'. Frontman Spencer Charnas expressed the band's intention: 'The Laugh Track' is our homage to Tim Burton's dark and gothic Gotham. We walk a tightrope of broad, maniacal smiles, much like the film did with its comic book material.
The video features Terry Kiser returning, as well as introducing Matthew Lillard and Phil Morris to the INKverse. Charnas also expressed his excitement in sharing the music video, stating that 'The Laugh Track' will have you dancing with the devil in the pale moonlight.
