Alternative metal outfit Moodring has released a music video for their latest single, Half-Life.
The project is led by Hunter Young, who is also affiliated with PSYCHO-FRAME and other musical endeavors.
Young shared the following about the track:
Half-Life was one of the first songs written after I received a life-changing medical diagnosis and was forced to grieve losing the person that I thought I was and had identified as for most of my sentient life. It was a devastating blow to an already-tarnished nervous system.
This song and sub-sequential songs were my way of coping and writing an obituary for the person I lost in that doctors office.
However, when looking at Half-Life through a broader lens, I believe anyone whos ever been forced to face realities or truths they cannot change can relate in ways that werent the original intention.
This single is another chapter in the ongoing exploration of humanity and resilience in the face of adversity.
