Howling Giant Unveils New Music Video from Forthcoming Album

Howling Giant has released the final advance single, 'Hunter's Mark,' taken from their forthcoming album 'Crucible & Ruin.' The third full-length by the Nashville, Tennessee-based cosmic stoner metal outfit is set to be released on October 31, 2025. Fans can now preview the video below.
The song was written during a different era in the band's composition, with drummer and vocalist Zach Wheeler recounting that it was one of the first tracks penned with their previous member James. While working in a friend's studio in Texas, guitarist Tom and bassist James collaborated on the harmonized verse riff that would become the core of 'Hunter's Mark.' Wheeler described how he began experimenting with different drum setups while writing the song, even setting up an additional ride cymbal for added rhythmic nuances in the verses. Building on a successful collaboration with Polar Desert Studios, Wheeler and his bandmates enlisted Willy to create a unique blend of static 2D/3D animation and video accompaniment for the tracks.
