Karnivool Unveils New Single 'Aozora' from Upcoming Album
Australian alternative metal band Karnivool has confirmed the release of their highly anticipated new album, "In Verses", on February 06th via Cymatic Records/Sony Music. This marks their first full-length release since 2013's 'Asymmetry'.
The album was produced by Forrester Savell, with whom the band previously collaborated on several occasions.
In anticipation of the album's release, Karnivool has released their latest single, "Aozora", which is now available to stream on YouTube and Spotify. The track's title, "Aozora", is derived from the Japanese word for blue skies, reflecting the song's themes of escape and freedom.
In a statement, frontman Ian Kenny explained that the song is about finding freedom amidst the complexities of human life: 'The whole theme for that song is escaping, or trying to find a way to escape yourself. We're all weird, you know? Trying to understand that at different times along the road, sometimes you end up with more questions than answers.'
The track list for "In Verses" has been compiled as follows:
01 'Ghost'
02 'Drone'
03 'Aozora'
04 'Animation'
