Despised Icon Reveal New Music Video 'Death Of An Artist' From Upcoming Album 'Shadow Work'

Canadian deathcore outfit Despised Icon is set to release their first album in six years, 'Shadow Work', on October 31st. The prolific group has recently premiered the music video for their track 'Death Of An Artist'.

The accompanying visual was directed by Jessy Fuchs.

In an interview with the band's vocalist Alex Erian, it is revealed that 'Death Of An Artist' pushes the boundaries of speed and technicality, showcasing the group's ability to blend crushing grooves with dissonant soundscapes. The track holds personal significance for Erian, who notes that it is also one of his favorite tracks on the album.

Eigan draws a comparison between 'Death Of An Artist' and the classic Death Metal bands that influenced Despised Icon's early work. The album promises to deliver a rollercoaster experience, with this latest track being just the beginning.

Before their release date, Despised Icon will be performing at several festivals and venues across North America. This tour includes dates in Massachusetts, Michigan, Indiana, Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.
