Croatian black/death metal band Defiant has teamed up with Metalunderground.com to exclusively premiere their new single "Mammon Mantra", taken from their impending new album of the same name. The album will be co-released by Satanath Records (Georgia) and InsArt Records (UK) on May 17th, 2025.

According to the official press release, Defiant is celebrating 20 years of its existence with this new album, which promises "twelve new devastating hymns for this age of damnation". The record features guest vocals from Tony "Demolition Man" Dolan and Maksymina "Max" Kuzianik, marking the first time a female vocalist is featured in a Defiant song.

The album explores themes of man's darkest desires and corruption since the dawn of time, taking inspiration from historical events. Defiant is a death/black metal band from Croatia formed in 2005, known for their progressive sound which has evolved over the years. Their third album, "Morbid Spiritual Illness", marked the beginning of this new direction, which is continued with this latest release.
