Russian groove/death metal band Into The Fray has partnered with Metalunderground.com to exclusively premiere their new single 'Smorgon' ahead of the release of their highly anticipated upcoming album 'Deofolist'.
The single, taken from the impending album, can now be streamed via YouTube for your listening pleasure below.
According to a press statement released by the artist, 'Smorgon' marks the culmination of an intense ten-year journey for Into The Fray. From humble beginnings in a Moscow basement machine tool factory, the band has steadily refined its unique blend of groove metal and militaristic ideology, drawing inspiration from iconic bands like Pantera, Lamb Of God and Hatebreed.
The highly anticipated album 'Deofolist', set to drop on April 15th through Satanath Records, Georgia, is a testament to this evolution. The self-titled release serves as a pivotal moment in the band's 12-year history, with 'Smorgon' solidifying its position within the band's discography. Artistic collaboration with Mayhem Design further enhances the album's distinctive style.
'Deofolist' is a deeply personal and militaristic themed concept that explores conflicts from past to present times. Notable guest appearances on tracks like 'Teufelsbrucke' by Mikhail Shaev and 'The Oath' by Alexandra Sidorova add an extra layer of depth to the album.
